Jesus You Gave Me Peace

But somehow, in the middle of it,
I could feel You standing near.
And the tears I cried in darkness,
You were holding every tear.
When my strength was slowly fading,
You were lifting up my soul.
Jesus, You gave me peace when my heart could find no rest.
When the fear became too heavy, You held me to Your chest.
Jesus, You gave me peace when my soul was weak and tired.
And the storm inside my spirit finally grew quiet.
