Artist and the Machine

You and me never knowing where it's going.
I draw a broken house; you build a town.
I say that's much too much; you turn it upside down.
I give you one small thing; you give me twenty more.
Then one of them looks back at me like I've seen it before.
Don't make it beautiful; make it strange enough to stay.
Give me something I would never think to make that way.
You and me making something out of nothing.
