Clap For You Anyway

I'll clap for you anyway.
Maybe my time is coming soon.
Maybe I'm dancing to a different tune.
But right now, this moment belongs to you,
And I can honor that,
And still be true to who I am and what I feel.
Both things can be real.
I'll clap for you anyway, even when my own dreams fade away.
I'll raise my voice and celebrate,
Fight this feeling that wants to hate.
You deserve every door that opens wide.
I won't let jealousy decide.
