Future Tense

Forgetting how to bow to what's right in front of me,
To who I am right here.
I'm drowning in what's next while the present disappears.
He asked me what I'm thinking,
And that months from this conversation I'm solving problems that don't exist instead of feeling what I'm facing.
My mind's already at the end of stories just begun.
I miss the middle every time, chasing what's not yet done.
I'm living in future tense, skipping what's happening now.
