MARK ON THE GLASS

I can feel your name beneath my skin.
You left a mark upon the glass,
And the same mark deep within.
And if you appeared at my door again,
I know I would probably let you inside.
Even though loving you felt like a blade,
Part of me still misses the cut every night.
You left a mark upon the glass,
But the morning starts to break it.
You left a light inside the dark; now I finally can escape it.
I can feel the sunlight on my hands.
