Spinning Like Before

Maybe it was time.
Maybe all those years alone were leading to tonight.
Now I'm spinning like before, like I'm 25 once more,
With the laughter in my ear and the feeling coming clear that my heart can open up,
That I haven't lost my touch.
Yeah, I'm spinning like before, and I want a little more.
She doesn't know my history, doesn't know I've given up,
Doesn't know how long it's been since I believed in any of this stuff.
But the way she moves beside me makes the past just fade away,
And I'm thinking maybe tomorrow I could ask her on a date.
Maybe I was ready.
