I Skip the Playlist

I tried one last week, three notes, and I was gone,
Talking to the walls like you were still here.
So I skip the playlist every time it comes around.
I can't be that version, the one who thought you'd stay.
I skip the playlist because the melody brings him back,
And I don't know him anymore.
He's not who I am today.
I see the titles in the queue, and I swipe past them all.
They turn me into someone who still waits by the door,
