Fairytail

Fairytale,
But it did not feel kind; there were ghosts in the pines,
And their eyes looked like mine.
I saw a river of glass, running black in the night,
And a girl in white linen, with no face in the light.
I saw wolves standing still, like they knew I had lied,
Saw a house with no door, and a fire inside.
Then a voice said my name from the hollow below, said,
"You came here, a boy, but you won't leave so." Fairytale,
That's what they call it now,
But I saw heaven bend through the branches somehow.
